The EU AI Act requires platforms to label AI-generated content. Here's what's changing on Fanvue, why, and what it means for you.
A new piece of EU regulation called the EU AI Act is coming into force. It affects every creator platform, not just ours. It requires platforms to clearly disclose when content has been generated or meaningfully edited using AI.
This affects almost every creator on Fanvue in some way, whether you're a fully AI creator or a human creator who uses AI tools as part of your workflow. We wanted to put everything you need to know in one place.
What the EU AI Act actually means
The main criteria of the act is transparency for users when interacting with AI systems. That means if content on a platform is AI-generated or significantly AI-modified, fans need to be able to tell.
We want every single one of our creators to stay active, earning and thriving without issues, which is why we’re responsible for labelling AI content in a way that is clear and not easily missed. You can take a look at our AI policy here, for further info.
What's changing on Fanvue
Over the coming months, you may start to see AI disclosure labels appearing on content that has been generated or meaningfully edited using AI. If your workflow involves AI tools, some of your content is likely to carry a label, the same is true for creators on every compliant platform. We’ll be testing a few different visual styles, as we work out the clearest, least disruptive design.
If you don't use any AI tools in your workflow, your content won't be labelled.
